Angolan Foreign Minister speaks to VOA on Lobito Corridor importance
President Biden has touched down in the Angolan capital, Luanda, Monday, where he is expected to focus on continuing investment on the Lobito Corridor, a transnational rail line connecting Angola, DRC, Tanzania, and Zambia. Speaking to VOA’s Peter Clottey, Tete Antonio, the Foreign Minister of Angola, spoke about the need to update the critical piece of infrastructure to increase economic growth for the entire southern African region.
