Some generals from the Sudan People’s Liberation Army in Opposition (SPLA IO) in Western Bhar El Ghazel state have rejected the appointment of Emmanuel Primo Ukello as the new governor of the state. Ukello replaced Sarah Cleto last week, but SPLA IO generals say Cleto and Ukello come from the same village. The spokesperson for SPLM-IO says the matter was resolved and Governor Ukello will soon travel to Wau. Denis Logonyi has more for VOA from Juba.
