Trump wins U.S. presidential election
In this edition of Straight Talk Africa, host Vincent Makori discusses the outcome of the U.S. presidential elections. The American voters have spoken -- and former President Donald Trump has been elected for a second term in the White House -- defeating Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris. What does this mean for the foreign policy of the United States towards Africa? Vincent is joined by the director of the Africa Program at the Wilson Center Oge Onubogu and the former special envoy for the Sahel and the Great Lakes Regions of Africa, Ambassador J. Peter Pham. Earlier in the show, VOA White House Bureau Chief Patsy Widakuswara and VOA Chief National Correspondent Steve Herman discuss the outcome of the election night.
