IOM: Sudan’s displacement crisis worsening
The International Organization for Migration warns Sudan’s displacement crisis is growing worse as the number of people fleeing fighting, hunger, and sexual abuse escalates. IOM director general Amy Pope, reporting from Port Sudan, says 11 million people now are uprooted from their homes and more than three million refugees have fled to neighboring countries.
