Mephato Reatile, the president of the opposition Botswana Patriotic Front, expressed concern to VOA’s Peter Clottey that the country’s Independent Electoral Commission appears ill-prepared to administer a credible poll on Wednesday. He contends that reports of voter irregularities could undermine the credibility of the elections. Reatile says that the electoral commission must address the legitimate concerns about how it is organizing the votes.
