Police clashed with protestors in Mozambique’s capital Maputo on Monday, firing tear gas as hundreds took to the streets to protest the killing of opposition lawyer last week. Mozambican civil society election observer group More Integrity said the attack happened in the Bairro Da Coop neighborhood of the capital Maputo, killing PODEMOS party lawyer Elvino Dias and party representative Paulo Guambe. For the latest developments happening in Maputo, VOA’s Esther Githui-Ewart spoke to VOA Portuguese reporter Amancio Vilanculos live from Maputo, Mozambique.
