Ugandans react to police wounding of Bobi Wine
Bobi Wine, one of Uganda’s most prominent opposition figures to President Yoweri Museveni, was reported to have been shot in the leg by police while at a political march Tuesday in a northern suburb of Kampala. Ugandan authorities maintain that they were attempting to block Wine and members of his National Unity Platform from entering a road but said in a statement on X that an investigation will be opened. Reporter Mugume Davis spoke to residents of Kampala for their reaction.
