Gaza war approaches 1 year mark, public outrage grows
As the war in Gaza between Israel and Hamas militants approaches its one-year mark, analysts say public outrage over the killing of hostages continues to grow and so do fears over a recent polio outbreak. However, U.S. authorities, along with other mediators including Egypt and Qatar, remain persistent on brokering a cease-fire deal between the rivals in the Middle East. VOA’s Anita Powell has more.
