US condemns Kenya’s handling of youth protest
The United States has condemned Kenya government’s handling of youth-led anti-government protests and is demanding immediate action against human rights violations. The U.S. Under-Secretary for Civilian Security, Democracy and Human Rights, Uzra Zeya, told journalists in Nairobi on Wednesday that during her meeting with President William Ruto, she insisted on prompt investigations of and accountability for disappearances, the excessive use of force, and other human rights abuses.
