What will it take to win the fight against AIDS?
In this edition of Straight Talk Africa host Vincent Makori looks at the UNAIDS report on the HIV/AIDS epidemic and discusses ways to go forward. For the first time in the history of the HIV/AIDS epidemic, the sharpest decline in new infections has been achieved in sub-Saharan Africa, but infections are rising in parts of the Middle East, North Africa, Eastern Europe, Central Asia and Latin America. Vincent is joined by Angeli Achrekar, deputy executive director for the Programme Branch of UNAIDS and Chip Lyons president and CEO of the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.
