Kenya president promises government changes after nationwide protests
Kenyan President William Ruto on Friday announced several government measures which will be implemented soon with the objective of cutting national spending by over 177 billion shillings (approximately $1,380 billion) in the fiscal year that started in July. This was a response to a series of youth led nationwide protests as demonstrators demanded better governance and the East African leader’s resignation.
