Campaigns intensify in Rwanda ahead of July 15 poll
Rwandans will head to the polls on 15 July for presidential and parliamentary elections. They will choose between three presidential candidates, including current President Paul Kagame. Kagame has governed Rwanda for decades, securing presidential victories in the elections of 2003, 2010, and 2017. Each time, he got over 90 percent of the vote. VOA’s Douglas Mpuga reached Gongaza Muganwa, a journalist and political analyst, to find out how the campaigns are progressing.
