Malawi media and rights watchdog groups decry surge in attacks on journalists
Malawi media and human rights watchdog groups say that despite making strides to repeal some laws which infringed on media freedom, threats and arrests of journalists in the country are still happening. As the country prepares for next year’s general elections, many journalists fear a crackdown on freedom of the press. VOA’s Jamal Prince Jamal reports from Lilongwe.
