UN: War in Sudan’s El Fasher is at ‘tipping point’
The Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, Martin Griffiths, warned that Sudan is at a tipping point, amid more alarming reports from North Darfur’s capital, El Fasher. In a post on social media, Griffiths warned Sudan’s warring parties that their continued violence would put the lives of almost 800,000 people at risk. For the latest developments from El Fasher, VOA’s Esther Githui-Ewart spoke to VOA United Nations Correspondent Margaret Besheer live from New York.
