US House speaker declines to offer Kenya president invitation to address Congress
The speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, Mike Johnson, this week declined to offer Kenya’s President William Ruto an invitation to address a joint session of Congress, as the East African leader prepares to visit Washington to commemorate 60 years of diplomatic relations between the two nations.
