Nigerian Film Gains Recognition at International Film Festivals
Nigeria's Nollywood film industry is recognized as one of the largest film industries in the world. Shedding its initial popularity for producing low-budget films, Nollywood now commands international acclaim, with many Nigerian filmmakers screening their movies at prestigious film festivals worldwide, such as the annual New Africa Film Festival (NAFF) in the U.S. Screenwriter Tosin Otudeko's drama "Over the Bridge" was among those selected for screening. VOA's Jackson Mvunganyi spoke with Otudeko about her movie.
