Russian Opposition Politics Faces Uncertain Future After Navalny’s Death

Yulia Navalnaya, the widow of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, has asked the European Union to not recognize Russia's March election, which is almost certain to give President Vladimir Putin another six-year term. Navalnaya on Monday urged supporters to oppose Putin with greater fury than ever and free Russia from what she calls a corrupt elite of "bandits in uniform, thieves and murderers". For an analysis into the future of Russia’s opposition politics, VOA’s Esther Githui-Ewart spoke to VOA Russian language reporter Alex Yanevskyy.
