update
An official of Ghana’s main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) party says President Nana Akufo-Addo’s government does not deserve another loan from the IMF-World Bank because the government has a poor record repaying its debt. This, after the World Bank announced Tuesday that it has approved a $300 million financial package for Ghana. Mustapha Gbande, deputy general secretary of the opposition NDC party, tells VOA’s James Butty, the debt will add to the burden of ordinary Ghanaians.
