Liberia Gets Female Senate President

In Liberia, a woman has been elected President Pro-Tempore of the 55th Legislature. Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence of the Liberty Party and a supporter of President-elect Joseph Boakai won on a white ballot in a Senate comprising 27 men and three women. Rita Jlogbe Doue has details from Monrovia.
