A polio vaccination campaign that was planned for November but postponed due to heavy rains is finally taking place in three counties in Kenya. An entrepreneur is using traditional millet and sorghum to make snacks and breakfast cereals to promote consumption of indigenous grains and foster environmental sustainability. U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas Greenfield says democracy has made gains in some African nations but remains under threat on the continent.
