Guinea’s Media Alleges Restriction By Ruling Junta

Independent media organizations in Guinea Conakry have decided to continue publishing and broadcasting despite a desire to hold a media blackout to protest what they call government restrictions. The government has denied muzzling the press but cautioned against the spread of social and political tensions. Daouda Mohamed Camara, editor-in-chief at Espace, tells VOA’s James Butty , the military-led government has instituted restrictions recently, including jamming some radio signals.
