What Will It Take to End Gender-Based Violence?
On this episode of Straight Talk Africa, the United Nations annual 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, GBV, is underway, aiming to prevent and eliminate violence against women and girls. The 2023 campaign also calls on governments worldwide to share how they are investing in gender-based violence prevention. Host Haydé Adams is joined by Nomathamsanqa Masiko-Mpaka South Africa Researcher with Human Rights Watch, political activist Kah Walla and Naasu Fofanah, founder and CEO Susue Consulting/Susue Women's Finance to discuss the effectiveness of activism in curbing violence against women and girls in some African countries.
