UN's Refugee Agency Expresses Concern over Sudan Violence
The United Nations refugee agency UNHCR is expressing concern about what it says is increasing violence and human rights abuses against civilians in Darfur. Faith Kasina, UNHCR's regional spokesperson in Nairobi, Kenya, says hundreds of people have reportedly been killed by armed groups in West Darfur in recent days, in addition to other human rights abuses committed against civilians.
