Cameroon Separatist Group Denies Killing Civilians
update
The leader of the interim government of Ambazonia, an Anglophone separatist group in Cameroon, has denied his group attacked a village early Monday that killed 25 villagers. The Cameroon government has accused the separatists of the killings. The government said a small separatist faction called Manyu Unity Warriors carried out the assault on the village of Egbekaw. Separatist interim government leader Chris Anu tells VOA’s James Butty, judging from information his group gathered from villagers, the killings look like the handiwork of the Cameroon military.
