update
UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has called on government, the private sector, civil society, and academia to work together and prioritize feeding the hungry. This, as the UN says 780 million people globally are going hungry and 50 million children at risk of death from severe hunger. In his World Food Day statement today (Monday), the Secretary General called for scaling up investments to increase resilience in agriculture and addressing long-term causes of hunger such as conflict and climate change.
