UN Chief Calls for Negotiated Two-State Solution to Israeli-Hamas Conflict
United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres addressed reporters in New York Monday, and condemned the resulting casualties from the weekend attacks by Hamas and counterattacks by Israel. VOA U.N. correspondent Margaret Besheer tells Africa 54 host Hayde Adams that Guterres called for a negotiated two-state solution to the conflict and urged both sides to protect civilians and Hamas to release hostages.
