International Diplomatic Fallout Likely Due to Hamas-Israel Conflict, Says Analyst
Hamas’ attack on Israel over the weekend has resulted in counterattacks by Israel, and international condemnation of Hamas. With the U.S. now pledging support for Israel, and Iran being accused of involvement in the attacks, questions arise over the likelihood of international diplomatic fallout, and regional implications for the conflict. A senior fellow at a D.C.-based think tank, the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, Gaith al-Omari tells Africa 54 host Haydé Adams that the extent to which Israel retaliates will determine international response.
