Filmmakers Document the Impact of Kenya’s Universal Basic Income in Kogutu
Filmmakers Lauren de Fillipo and Sam Soko say they were inspired to produce a documentary, Free Money, that educates Kenyans on a program run by Give Directly, a nonprofit organization that is giving people in the East African nation’s rural city of Kogutu $22 every month to purchase essentials.
