South Africa's Opposition Party Launches Voter Registration Campaign
South Africa’s main opposition party the Democratic Alliance, DA, launched its 2024 voter registration campaign on Monday ahead of next year’s elections. "The power will lie with those who are registered to be able to change the trajectory of South Africa forever," said John Steenhuisen, adding "if you are tired of corruption, if you are tired of load shedding... there is hope." South Africa will go to the polls mid-next year after thirty years under ANC rule, which the opposition says has been a dismal failure.
