Tanzanian Community Center Helps People with Albinism
The Sakapala Community Center in Temeke, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, offers young people various skills and serves people with albinism that face challenges because of their skin color. VOA’s Esther Githui-Ewart spoke to the center’s co-founder Zawadi Sakapalla-Ukondwa about her work within the community center and her outreach organizing summer trips for American students and their parents to learn about East African culture.
