Gabon Activists Embraces Sima As New PM

A Gabonese human rights and democracy activist says he welcomes the appointment of Raymond Ndong Sima as the country’s new civilian prime minister. Ndong Sima, an economist and former prime minister under deposed President Ali Bongo Ondimba, was chosen Thursday by military leader General Brice Oligui Nguema. In another development, the military strongman also said this week that President Bongo was free to leave the country and travel abroad.
