Intense fighting continues in Sudan's capital, Khartoum, between the Sudanese army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces. The two warring factions are gearing up to resume talks in the Saudi town of Jeddah. VOA’s Nabeel Biajo, spoke with Dr. Rashid Mukhtar, a health program consultant for Project HOPE, a global health and humanitarian organization, working in Omdurman. Mukhtar sheds light on the dire humanitarian situation for civilians and patients caught in the crossfire with transportation and basic services breaking down due to the escalating conflict.
