Africa 54: Sudan Museums Looted During Conflict, Americans Brave Harsh Weather to Celebrate July 4
A new report by Heritage for Peace details the destruction and looting of museums and cultural sites during Sudan’s civil war. Americans braved heat and heavy downpours to take part in Fourth of July activities on Tuesday, celebrating the nation's founding. And a school in Kenya is generating a buzz locally and globally after being ranked among the top 10 schools making a difference and the Overcoming Adversity category for instilling a deep sense of pride, critical thinking, innovation, self-efficacy and entrepreneurship among its students.
