Sudanese health practitioners report that the ongoing war between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces has pushed healthcare to the brink as hospitals are running out of supplies. For insight, VOA’s Nabeel Biajo spoke to Dr. Safaa Ali, a medical consultant at the only operating maternity hospital in Omdurman, where practitioners are performing at risk C-section surgeries on pregnant women who have nowhere else to turn for assistance.
