Analysis: Three of Six Kidnapped Children in Western Uganda Found
The Ugandan military Wednesday said three of six students in western Uganda kidnapped from the Mpondwe Lhubirira Secondary School following an attack by Islamist fighters last week were found. In an effort to identify other victims, parents have been providing DNA samples due to identify the bodies that were recovered. For more, VOA’s Esther Githui-Ewart spoke to Bulama Bukarti, the vice president of Bridgeway Foundation, a U.S.-based research company implementing projects in Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo aimed at weakening the Allied Democratic Forces, the group suspected of killing 37 students.
