US Hopes for S.Africa to 'Honor' Obligations on President Putin's ICC Arrest Warrant
South Africa this week issued blanket diplomatic immunity to all leaders attending the BRICS summit, to be held later this year. This means Russian President Vladimir Putin, who has been issued an arrest warrant by the International Criminal Court, could attend the BRICS summit in Pretoria without concerns. For more, VOA's Haydé Adams spoke to U.S. ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield who said the U.S. hopes and expects South Africa will do the right thing on Russian President Vladimir Putin.
