Deadly violence erupted in Senegal following the sentencing of opposition leader and presidential aspirant Ousmane Sonko to two years in prison on Thursday. Sudan's warring parties clash in the capital overnight Thursday and into Friday morning after the collapse of talks aimed at maintaining a ceasefire and alleviating a humanitarian.
