Nigeria’s massive refinery funded by Africa richest man Aliko Dangote has been commissioned bringing hope the country will be a net exporter of petroleum products. Rights groups say Sudan's warring sides are showing a reckless disregard for civilians in Western Darfur, the other epicenter of Sudan’s civil war. And, US aid group 'The Gift of Chess” sets up a workshop in Ghana producing chess pieces for women empowerment and youth development with a goal to strengthen communities through the game.
