Celebration as Namibia Recognizes Foreign Same-Sex Marriages
In the Namibian capital Windhoek on Tuesday, people celebrate as the country's Supreme Court recognized same-sex marriages legally performed overseas between its citizens and foreign spouses. It is a landmark ruling in a country where homosexuality remains illegal. The decision overturns a ruling reached last year by the High Court, which refused to accept same-sex marriages performed outside the country.
