Stalled Sudan Talks Hamper Permanent Solution

The Sudanese army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) were scheduled to resume talks in Saudi Arabia Sunday, despite ongoing fighting in Sudan’s capital Khartoum.  According to report, an agreement to protect civilians was largely ignored, and analysts say the prospects of a permanent cease-fire between the two warring sides remain bleak.  For more, VOA’s Peter Clottey spoke to Saif Aidden Al-Bashir Ahmed, chief editor of El-Massar news in English and a political researcher in Sudan.
