Kenya, Germany Call for Sudan Cessation of Hostilities
Kenyan President William Ruto and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz Friday delivered a joint press briefing where the two leaders re-iterated global calls for the immediate cessation of hostilities in Sudan. Those calls have been met with deaf ears by Sudan’s warring leaders who have continuously announced cease-fires but violated them soon after and traded public accusations over who was the offender. Sudan’s 20-day-long conflict has left hundreds dead, thousands injured and pushed over 100,000 into evacuation.
