U.S. military evacuates all American government workers and a small number of diplomatic personnel from other countries in an operation in Khartoum as fighting escalates in Sudan. At least 50 bodies have been exhumed in southeastern Kenya as part of an investigation into a suspected Christian cult, led by local who is believed to have encouraged his followers to starve themselves to death.
