US VP Receives Warm, Positive Reception in Tanzania
U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris received a warm reception from citizens of Tanzanian, who expressed pride and excitement of her visit to the only African country with a female head of state, President Samia Suluhu Hassan. Reporter Christinah Korroso, senior journalist at AZAM TV in Dar es Salaam, tells VOA's Esther Githui Ewart that Harris' recognition of the progress the country has made democratically, socially and economically, was significant.
