US Envoy Reiterates Commitment to Mozambique's Anti-terrorism Efforts
The U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield emphasized on Friday U.S. support for Mozambique in the fight against terrorism. “We are providing training and equipment for the police, but we are also supporting the humanitarian needs of people who have been impacted by the terrorists,” said Thomas-Greenfield during a press conference on Friday in the capital Maputo. After a two-day visit to Maputo, the ambassador will travel to Kenya, continuing her three-nation Africa tour that started in Ghana, on Wednesday, Jan 25.
