Analysis: Tanzania Lifts Ban on Political Opposition Rallies
Earlier this week, Tanzania's President Samia Suluhu Hassan lifted a ban on opposition political rallies, more than six years after her predecessor John Magufuli imposed the measure, which caused frequent confrontations between opposition leaders and police. VOA’s Esther Githui-Ewart spoke with political analyst Sammy Ruhuza who is cautiously optimistic about the move.
