Economic Crisis Hits Ghana Hard
Ghana has been a bastion of stability in West Africa, a region plagued by civil unrest and coups. The world’s second-biggest grower of cocoa and Africa’s second-largest gold producer, Ghana began exporting oil in late 2010. Currently, however, its economy is in a meltdown.
