A South Sudanese group that documents victims of violent conflict in the country is calling on the government to declare Dec. 15 — the day South Sudan’s civil war began nine years ago — a national day of remembrance to honor hundreds of thousands of people who lost their lives. VOA's Nabeel Biajo spoke to Daud David, executive director at the Juba-based organization Remembering the Ones We Lost, who said it would help heal the wounds of war and unite the nation.
