The South Sudan Human Rights Defenders Network has — for the first time — awarded human rights activists for their work. Five South Sudanese won in different categories. Beny Gideon Mabor, a commissioner on the South Sudan Human Rights Commission, called on South Sudanese to defend human rights and fight any violations they encounter.
