A study released by UNAIDS earlier this year indicates that nearly 70 percent of the 34 million AIDS patients live in Africa. VOA's Paul Ndiho has more; In October, Zimbabwe became the first African country to approve the use of the injectable HIV prevention drug called cabotegravir; And, the multi-award winning Malian guitarist, vocalist and composer Habib Koité recently gave a stellar performance in Washington D.C. Heather Maxwell interviewed the artist backstage for insight into his music and the current climate of musical expression in Mali.
