Horn of Africa, Kenya Authorities Scramble to Avert Famine
Authorities and aid groups in the Horn of Africa and Kenya are reportedly scrambling to prevent famine, a development that is happening soon after reports of worsening hunger and nearly a million children facing acute malnutrition, amid a fifth failed rainy season in the region.
